Notes
When fans are supporting you, we call it “Throwin’ Notes.” Notes are PickleJar’s private messaging feature for fans to connect with artists on and off stage and they can be customized with specific dollar amounts for song requests, shout outs, and more. Since no one can see them but the sender and recipient, Notes create a more personal and intimate engagement than other forms of communication like a public post or a non-descript memo in a social feed or discord.
When engaging with Artists during a performance, the Fan selects from a list of Notes created by the Artists as “reasons for the tip” from the Performance Screen. The Artist can edit and create their own Notes and lists of Notes for every gig to engage the audience in a more entertaining way. There is no limit to the creativity of the “Notes,” and with each transaction, both the Artists and Fan unlock badges and earn Pick Coins.
When you are logged into your stage name, you will see across the bottom of the app “Notes” in the lower left corner. Clicking on that takes you to the Notes screen and from there you can manage your Notes, create custom lists and search for recent Notes you’ve used.
All Notes – Lists every Note recommended or created for the Artists to use.
My Notes – Lists Notes created by the Artists for use in lists associated with their profile or a performance
All Lists – Provided quick access to all the lists recommended by PickleJar or created by the Artist.
Manage Notes
To create a new Note, just click the plus button in the bottom right-hand corner.
To edit an existing Note, click on the Note to open it up. Make changes to the Note and then “save” and your changes will be reflected in the Notes list.
To delete a Note, simply swipe left and select the trash icon. Be aware, Notes deleted will be removed from all lists.
My Lists – These are the default categories of Lists and shows the number of Lists in each category. You can click on the category to open to a screen displaying the Lists in that Category.
On Stage and Pre-Show Notes – These Notes appear on the Performance Screen and are active up until the time you “Go Live” for your performance. This way you can engage with your audience prior to the show and monetize each request, vote, or even your own unique “#tipworthy” ideas.
Profile List of Notes- Artists can even accept funds when they are not on stage through their profile by customizing the Notes in the “Profile List.” Customize these Notes with things like “Cheetos and Twizzlers for Inspiration – $10” or “Gas to get me to my next gig – $20.” Have fun with them!
My Channel – These are Notes to be used with content on your channel inside your profile. This is a feature coming soon, so start thinking of how you can monetize your videos, music and podcasts!
Campaigns and Fundraisers -The lists are for when you are hosting a performance to benefit a non-profit. These Notes should consider the beneficiary needs and mission, like “Backpack of School Supplies – $25” or “Feed a dog for a month – $100.”
Artists can customize and create Notes for quick access in their Notes Library. Each Note has unique attributes to give you the most flexibility for fan engagement and making more money! We’ve detailed these below. So, start creating Notes that work best for you, your performance style and your next event.
