Social Media Strategy
Consistent Branding
Your brand is who you are, and it needs to be consistent throughout everything you do. Try and make your social handle and your PickleJar @StageName as similar as possible so that fans can find you on all platforms.

Consistent Content & Posting
Post consistently but don’t just post to post. Fans can see right through that and may even unfollow you if you are posting too much “filler” content that doesn’t necessarily serve them. Post engaging content that relates to your followers and showcases your personality!
Unique Content
Not only does your content need to be engaging and important to your fans, but it also needs to help you stand out from every other artist. For example, Instagram is the perfect platform to add a question box or survey, give your fans time to chime in, and then share your answers either via Instagram stories or on an Instagram Live. This is a quick and easy tactic that can be done last minute, unannounced, and from wherever you are.
Giveaways
Giveaways are another easy way to utilize social media to attract more fans and engage with those who already follow you. Hosting a giveaway on your social media is a great way to give back. These can range from shirts, albums, meet and greets, concert tickets, and signed items!
Utilize LinkedIn
Probably the least used platform by musicians is LinkedIn but the platform is for anybody and everybody that is interested in growing their professional career, whatever field you may be in. It’s like one ongoing networking event. LinkedIn has much more to offer than most musicians realize and can help expand your social media reach.
Network
If your social media strategy consists of posting and then closing the app, you’re not utilizing social media to the best of your ability. Try reposting/sharing, commenting or liking posts from your fans, fellow musicians or industry individuals. This is an easy way to show that you’re supportive of and interested in what they’re doing. If you support them, they will support you!
