Personal Branding
Be Real, Be Authentic
There is no point in projecting an image or brand that is not you. Branding is what you use to promote yourself visually, which is basically: your image, your personality, your values, your story, etc. – and the graphic elements that should reflect this. Establish the key things that make you different – and how you can harness them to make you memorable.
Start Small and Grow Over Time
Think about your brand strategically from the start and the absolute core list you feel is needed to get started. Branding is a long-term investment and will take time to develop. By starting small, you can avoid rushing bigger decisions that will save you time, money, and effort in the long run.
Define Your Style
The genre of music, your unique personality quirks, and everything in between can help you define your style and image – and make you more relatable to the fans you are trying to attract. If you aren’t 100% of your style, you can always seek outside help by asking your closest confidants.
Who Is Your Ideal Fan?
Putting yourself out there – vulnerable and subject to anyone’s (and everyone’s) opinion is hard. Not everyone will like your music or content, and that’s ok! Identify what you an ideal fan looks like to you, and then focus your branding efforts on attracting this type of fan.
Stay Consistent
Font style, logo, colors, and stay mindful of messaging are all important when it comes to keeping your brand consistent every time a fan interacts with you. Maintain a consistent experience every time you release music, across your social media platforms, and all of your marketing materials.

ProTip: Make sure your PickleJar StageName is the same as your other social media channels and branding materials so that fans can easily find and recognize you on channels outside of PickleJar. Keep your branding consistent across all of your channels, as someone might recognize you on PickleJar or during a performance if they were already familiar with you from another platform or channel.
