Engaging Fans
Keep the Content Flowing
Whether they fell in love with your stage presence, really connected with one of your songs or just want to see where you’re headed, your followers started following you for a reason! Turn followers into true fans by delivering content that will keep them interested, especially on material that originally brought them to you in the first place (like your music). Experiment with other types of content and measure results to see if it works. Most importantly, stay true to yourself and keep your brand consistent to keep your fanbase interested.

Engage During Performances
One of the greatest things about music is how it brings everyone together! Engaging your audience during a performance to do an “action” or inviting them to receive something special can help keep them interested through the show. In the PickleJar app, the Notes section allows your audience to engage even easier with you during a performance. Encourage your audience to use your Notes to request a song or give someone a shoutout from the stage by tipping you. Fans love to feel special and cared about when they come to one of your shows.
Give Exclusives
Give fans an “ultimate exclusive experience” by harnessing different tactics that make it authentic and personal. Some examples are personal, small concerts for a small fan experience. You can work with a venue and send out a limited amount of VIP invites to your current fans. You can also do special live stream that is “behind the scenes” like a Q&A session or working on a new song. Other things to really show some fan dedication could include a meet and greet or other interactive experiences.
Think Outside the Box
There are so many unique ways to engage with your fans – you just have to find what works best for you! Don’t be afraid to try something new to keep your audience’s interest. No matter what, always think about new ways to innovate, grow, and adapt.
Customize Notes
PickleJar’s Notes are a unique feature that can engage fans on and off the stage. Throwin’ Notes is our way of saying someone supported you. We’ve already preloaded some Notes in your Artist Profile like “song requests” and “shoutouts,” however, you can create your own custom Notes and specific the dollar amount for them. Custom notes are a fun and creative way to get your fans involved during the performance.
Even better is that with each tip and Note sent, a fan can insert a special message that only you, the artist, will be able to read. Notes create a next-level personal engagement with our artists while helping them earn money for doing what they love!

Charity Performances
People love to give for a cause, and your fans will love to participate in helping you raise funds for something near and dear to your heart. Plan a charity event such as a benefit performance or volunteer event and let your fans know well in advance so they can be a part of it. Find unique ways to further engage your fans by communicating a fundraising goal and providing incentives when certain milestones are met, or certain tipped amounts are given. With the PickleJar app, you can create your Beneficiary Performance and set the donations to go straight to the charity, so you don’t have to worry about transferring funds or managing money later – and focus on hyping your fans up to be a part of this special event!
Stay True to Yourself
You know your fans better than anyone. You understand their passion, creativity, and why they love your music so much. Do what feels authentic to YOU and don’t try and be someone you’re not. Playing into that understanding will help to provide fans with what they really want and further a fandom in both size and strength!
